Past Trips: Singapore & India Update

February was a marathon month. I had the distinct opportunity of traveling with Brother Wayne Myers and helping him conduct a great mission’s conference in the nation of Singapore. It was an honor to be with this 85 year old missionary statesman that has impacted the nation of Mexico as much as any one person and has left his finger prints in another 70 nations.

Between the both of us we held 26 services in eight different churches, helped raise a 4.5 million dollar missions budget and ministered to all the Assembly of God pastors in the nation! What a privilege.

I came home for 20 hours then headed off to the nation of India. I with Pastor Danny Williams arrive in Delhi late at night; we had a quick sleep then all of us with Brother Sam Taylor and his wife Dawn (the organizer of the event) headed for Ludhiana which is a large city by the Kashmir border. Ludhiana is in the state of Punjab which is the home to the Sikhs, a regional group in India that represent 2% of the population but control a great deal of the wealth.

The conference brought in over 700 pastors from all over North Western India. This area has had almost no Christian evangelism. The meetings were challenging and life changing for the pastors who get so little input from the outside. Persecution towards the Gospel is very prevalent; stories of beatings, churches being burnt down are common place.

Our evening services were open to believers as many more crowded under a large tent, salvation, miracles and healings took place. Vision was restored and hope regained in the hearts of many. Thank you for believing in us and caring for the world. In over an 18 day period I flew 37,000 miles! Wow!

You’re God’s Best,

Dr. Rob Carman
